Nicole Cooley grew up in New Orleans and is the author of seven books, most recently the poetry collections Of Marriage and Girl after Girl after Girl. Her poetry and nonfiction have appeared in The Paris Review, The Atlantic, and The Boston Review, among other magazines. She is the director of the MFA Program in Creative Writing and Literary Translation at Queens College-The City University of New York.
