Biography

Jarvis DeBerry is deputy opinions editor for NOLA.com | The Times-Picayune.  He has been with The Times-Picayune since 1997 and was a part of the team of journalists awarded the Pulitzer Prize for Public Service for its coverage of Hurricane Katrina and its aftermath.  In 2007, 2011, 2013, and 2015, DeBerry was awarded first prize for column writing in the annual contest sponsored by the Louisiana/Mississippi Associated Press Managing Editors Association.
