Barbara Hay is the award-winning author of The Bulldoggers Club series about youngsters who like to throw a catch rope, ride horses, and explore the great outdoors. Widowed at a young age, Hay raised her brood of four on the Oklahoma prairie. She was inspired by her own reluctant reader and is proud to say he now holds a master's degree. She is a former newspaper columnist and director of a local literacy council.

The Bulldoggers Club: The Tale of the Tumbleweed Witch
In Book 3 of the Bulldoggers Club Series, the boys are dealing with a haunted house, missing treasure, and a neighborly witch — or so they think. It is almost Halloween, and the season has the boys' imaginations running wild. Will they learn the importance of gathering the facts before charging someone with wrong—doing?
