Biography
John H. Lawrence is the former director of museum programs at The Historic New Orleans Collection, where he planned and implemented exhibitions and various programs. He was also the head of curatorial collections, having oversight of pictorial and object holdings numbering more than 500,000 items. In over 45 years at THNOC, the New Orleans native has held the positions of curator of photographs and senior curator, writing and lecturing widely about aspects of contemporary and historic photography.
