Sherry Melancon

Sherry Melancon was a fast food worker, gas station attendant, vacuum cleaner salesperson, deli meat slicer, car auction driver, snake handler, plumber, waitress, mechanic, secretary, firefighter, grad student, biologist, and college professor before she settled down and started writing books. Luckily, no experience is irrelevant for an author. Sherry writes the RTX Chronicles with co-author, Mike Hinton. She lives in Baton Rouge with her husband, Neil, and their three cats.

GET TO KNOW RUDDY, TERI, AND XEKE, three deeply-scarred survivors of an apocalypse.

Governments are failing, the country is on the brink of war, and random people are developing strange powers. The only thing anyone can seem to agree on is that the afflcted should either be dead or on a leash.

But if the world doesn't leave these three alone, someone is going to get hurt.

Book-loving volunteers are essential to the Louisiana Book Festival's success. Whether it's escorting authors, guiding visitors, selling refreshments, working with children in the Young Readers Pavilion or other fun and rewarding assignments, the Louisiana Book Festival wants you to join the volunteer team.
