Lee Brandt Randall

Lee Brandt Randall’s passion for art was a direct result of her mother reading to her as a child. It wasn’t long before she began writing, illustrating, and hand-binding her own books. Randall has taught art to 6th-12th grade students at Runnels School for 23 years. Along with illustrating and creating her own art, she also makes one-of-a-kind puppets and costumes for Baton Rouge Mardi Gras’ legendary Krewe of Yazoo Precision Lawn Mower Drill Team!

Thibodeaux Turtle and Boudreaux Bunny: The Tortoise and the Hare with a Louisiana Twist

Once upon a Louisiana time, there was a turtle and a bunny. The turtle was polite, quiet, and careful; the bunny was rather rude, loud, and impatient. The turtle finally agrees to a big race against the bunny. In this Louisiana version of the Aesop tale, young children will discover that slow and steady wins the race.
