David G. BakerDavid G. Baker is a professor at the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine where he serves as director of the Division of Laboratory Animal Medicine and as attending veterinarian for LSU. Baker has been Mike the Tiger's primary veterinarian since 1996.

Bedell is Professor of English and Coordinator of Creative Writing at Southeastern Louisiana University where he also edits Louisiana Literature, a nationally-recognized literary journal, and directs the Louisiana Literature Press. His latest collections are Bone-Hollow, True: New & Selected Poems, Call & Response, Come Rain, Come Shine, What Passes for Love and At the Bonehouse, all published by Texas Review Press. His recent work appears in the Southern Review, Hudson Review, Connecticut Review, Paterson Literary Review, Texas Review, Southern Quarterly, and other journals.
Carl BennettCarl Bennett is the director of the Louisiana Livestock Brand Commission, which is responsible for maintaining the state's official livestock brand registry and oversees criminal investigation of livestock theft. Bennett first came to the commission in 2008. Prior to his appointment as director, the former U.S. Marine was a Louisiana state trooper for 28 years. He also served as a felony investigator for the district attorney of the 22nd Judicial District.

Michael P. BiblerMichael P. Bibler is associate professor of Southern studies at LSU. He earned his doctorate at Tulane University and has also taught American literature in England. He is author of Cotton's Queer Relations: Same-Sex Intimacy and the Literature of the Southern Plantation and coeditor of the essay collection Just Below South: Intercultural Performance in the Caribbean and the U.S. South and Arna Bontemps's 1939 novel Drums at Dusk.
George Bishop, Jr.George Bishop Jr., author of Letter to My Daughter and The Night of the Comet grew up in Baton Rouge and Jackson, La. He earned an MFA from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, where he won the Award of Excellence for a collection of stories. He has lived and taught in Slovakia, Turkey, Indonesia, Azerbaijan, India and Japan. He now lives in New Orleans.

He served as Louisiana Poet Laureate in 2007-08 and from 2009-11. He is on the boards of the Ernest J. Anna ByarsAnna Byars, a Baton Rouge native, is the guitar player and co-songwriter for Married Woman and performs with a handful of other bands, including Polly Pry. Byars credits her rigorous classical music education with her ability to jump genres as projects demand. She also offers private instruction in classical guitar, bass and drums.
