Susan R. KaganSusan R. Kagan is a writer who lives in New Orleans. She belongs to the Peauxdunque Writers Alliance, which falls under the auspices of the Pirate’s Alley Faulkner Society, and the Realms of Fiction writers group. She has written and edited newsletters for various organizations and worked as a technical writer of computer system documentation. She currently works in IT application support in the banking industry.
Rodger KamenetzRodger Kamenetz’s five previous books of poetry are The Missing Jew, Nympholepsy, The Missing Jew: New and Selected, Stuck and The Lowercase Jew. He also authored The Jew in the Lotus, which The New York Times called “a revered text”; Stalking Elijah, winner of the National Jewish Book Award; and The History of Last Night’s Dream, which was featured on Oprah Winfrey’s Soul Series. His most recent prose is Burnt Books.
Julie KaneJulie Kane served as the Louisiana poet laureate from 2011 to 2013. Her two most recent poetry collections are Rhythm & Booze, Maxine Kumin’s selection for the National Poetry Series and a finalist for the Poets’ Prize, and Jazz Funeral, the winner of the Donald Justice Poetry Prize. She is a former Fulbright scholar and professor of English at Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, La.
Elizabeth Shantell KingElizabeth “Liz” Shantell King, a New Orleans native, is a 22-year-old psychology senior at Northwestern State University. King is president of the Brainy Acts Poetry Society. She won first place in NSU Argus and was also awarded the Larry Monk Young Poet’s Prize of 2013.
