Alison Pelegrin
Louisiana Poet Laureate Alison Pelegrin’s latest book of poems is Our Lady of Bewilderment. The recipient of a fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts and an ATLAS Grant from the Louisiana Board of Regents, she is Writer-in-Residence at Southeastern Louisiana University. In 2024, Pelegrin was awarded a Poet Laureate Fellowship by the Academy of American Poets to support her Lifelines Poetry Project, which brings poetry workshops to prisons and communities.
