A native of Mississippi, Benjamin Morris is the author of two prior books of poetry and one book of nonfiction, Hattiesburg, Mississippi: A History of the Hub City. His work has appeared in The Oxford American, Lithub, and The Southern Review, and received fellowships from the Mississippi Arts Commission and Tulane University. His next book, a full-length collection of poetry entitled The Singing River, is forthcoming from Belle Point Press in 2025.
