Born in Crowley, Louisiana, Erin Z. Bass has lived in Lafayette for over 20 years. She has a bachelor's degree in Journalism from LSU and has spent most of her career working as a writer and editor, with additional experience in marketing and public relations. She founded Deep South Magazine in 2009 due to her love of books and Southern literature. When not working, she can be found reading, gardening, traveling, and hosting a monthly book club.
