Julie Hooks is a Louisiana native who enjoys traveling throughout the state attending festivals, trade days, and markets. She attended the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, where she majored in Child and Family Studies. Her work as an elementary school teacher’s assistant has inspired her stories. She resides in Louisiana with her husband, Kelly. Together they have two daughters, Hannah (Bear) and Haleigh (LuLu), a cat named Ollie, and a dog named Finn.
