Baton Rouge native Karen Ullo is the winner of the 2023 Louisiana Author Project sponsored by the public library system. She’s the editorial director of Chrism Press, an imprint of WhiteFire Publishing devoted to fiction from Catholic and Orthodox Christian points of view. Prior to helping establish Chrism Press, she served as managing editor of the literary journal Dappled Things. She holds an MFA in screenwriting from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Music degree from LSU.
