A graduate of LSU and LSUS, Kristi Hammatt has been a middle school English teacher and a proud enthusiast of young adult literature for the past 22 years. She will graduate from Northwestern State University this fall with a certification in school librarianship. For the past six years, Hammatt has served on the Louisiana Young Readers’ Choice committee. She looks forward to one day having a novel she’s written read by young adults.
