Born and raised in Jackson, Mississippi, Nadia Wright is a special honors AP student at Murrah High School, a two-time recipient of the Gold McMullen Scholarship, and winner of 30 Scholastic Art & Writing Awards in two years, including an American Voices & Visions nomination and a national Silver Medal award. Her love of her Black culture and Black literary greats began with authors like Toni Morrison, Kiese Laymon, and Jesmyn Ward.
