Susie J. Shepherd’s deep appreciation for learning led her to a 22-year-long career as a Louisiana educator. She specialized in autism spectrum disorders and found joy in working with students with exceptional needs. After retiring, Shepherd went on to begin a new chapter in life as an author. She’s written close to a dozen books, which she enjoys showcasing at local schools across Louisiana and at various educational workshops.
