Books & Music
Come experience one of the East Baton Rouge Parish Library's (EBRPL's) signature programs, Books & Music. Created in partnership with Kids' Orchestra (KO), participants experience high-quality music education centered around books from EBRPL's children's collection. For the Louisiana Book Festival, Books & Music will feature the Louisiana classic Mama Don't Allow by Thacher Hurd. Meet Miles (the hedgehog) with his saxophone and "Swamp Band." Find out how they outsmart the bad guys using music. Participants will engage in multiple musical activities as they listen to the story. Designed for ages 3-11 but all are welcome!
