John P. Travis is editor and publisher at Portals Press LLC, a small literary press in New Orleans. Louisiana. He’s a former journalist, teacher, and author of the novel Pitching in the Dark and the short story collection J.J.’s Journal. He is the curator of Diving into Nature: An Eco-Poetry Anthology of Louisiana, which features 56 poets, including eight Louisiana poets laureate, who voice their concerns about environmental matters and reverence for the wonders of nature.
